Erica was raised by a family who loves to entertain, and, as child, hid under rented tables and stirred punch bowls on weekends. It is no wonder she abandoned her path of medicine to pursue food and beverage. Although raised in Connecticut, college brought her to Savannah, Georgia where southern hospitality inspired a lifelong commitment to graciousness and deliciousness. From there, she moved to upstate New York working with experimental wineries in the Hudson Valley. A blind tasting of Washington State wine was enough to spur a move to Seattle where she is currently a wine educator for Tom Douglas and wine director for his newest restaurant The Carlile Room. Erica is a Certified sommelier, Walter Clore scholarship awarded, Eater Young Gun 2015, and WSET Diploma student. She plans to move forward through the WSET Diploma and hopes to work in wine authentication.
