As co-founder and education director of the Italian Wine Central (IWC) website and Italian Wine Professional (IWP)TM credential, Geralyn has created a central network for wine professionals wanting to learn and teach about Italian wines. Prior to starting IWC, she was Vice President of education for the importer/distributor, Winebow and she presents to Italian organizations on the subject of entering and operating efficiently in the US import and distribution channels. A 25-year veteran of the wine industry, she has held positions in multiple channels: as a retail buyer of Italian wines, as a winery general manager and as both executive director and marketing manager in various non-profit educational organizations.

In addition to her import/distribution experience, Geralyn is a published author and well-known educator. She was coeditor of the book The Business of Wine, which was nominated for the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards and served as contributing editor to the Amarone Report for the International Wine Review. She has led education sessions for the Amarone Families at the Italian Embassy in Washington, DC and the masterclass-level seminars for Piemonte Land of Perfection across the US. She lectures on wine business topics in the Wine MBA program at Sonoma State University and teaches at the Napa Valley Wine Academy. She keeps current on global education trends through her membership in professional organizations including Association for Talent Development (ATD) and the e-Learning Guild.

Geralyn holds a BS in Management and an MBA in Marketing and is a dual citizen of the United States and the Italian Republic. Her professional wine credentials include the Certified Wine Educator (CWE) from SWE and the Level III Award in Wines and Spirits from the WSET, with distinction.
