Maxwell Leer is the co-founder of Winerave: a project hell-bent on evolving collective perceptions of wine culture. Recently awarded Wine Enthusiast’s 40 under 40 (2016), Maxwell has also been the recipient of Eater Young Guns (2014) as well as Zagat’s 30 under 30 (2013).
Maxwell has opened and worked at some of LA’s top restaurants including Tasting Kitchen (2009), The Bazaar by Jose Andres (2010), Bestia (2013) and Hatchet Hall (2015). Maxwell has also been making rose wine in the A.V.A of Cucamonga Valley since 2012 in partnership with a local, fifth generation winery where he makes a vin de soif Grenache Vin Gris for poolside drinking with friends and family.
Maxwell graduated with a B.A. from Bard College, New york in 2005.
