Muriel has always been interested in pursuing a career in food and beverage! She is currently in her last year of school at San Diego State University, where she is studying Hospitality and Tourism Management - Restaurant Operations. Muriel has worked in restaurants in San Diego for about 5 years and interned with Union Square Hospitality Group in NYC, where she was a wine intern at Union Square Cafe. That internship solidified her desire to pursue wine as a career, she is now studying to take the Intro Examination with the Court of Master Sommeliers in December.
Muriel loves to travel and has spent extended periods of time in Europe. Being able to explore new places and the different food and beverage cultures that come with them is one of her absolute favorite things to do and inspires her even more to be in the hospitality industry. In her free time, Muriel loves spending time with friends, being outside, cooking and relaxing at the beach."
