Paul Sherman


Paul has been an integral member of the Los Angeles Restaurant community working in such classic restaurants as Michael’s (1985-1989), Patina (1989-1990), fenix at the Argyle/La Toque (Napa Valley 1995-1999), and Valentino in Santa Monica (1999) where he presently provides service.

It was with Chef Ken Frank at fenix at the Argyle (in today’s Sunset Plaza Hotel) where he first donned (with trepidation) the title of Sommelier. Through the years and with the guidance of the Court of Master Sommeliers he has learned what it means to be a Sommelier.

Paul shares his love of wine at UCLA Extension where he teaches several courses that help put the World of Wine into perspective.
