Session Description

Previously known only for its sweet Aszú wines, the Tokaj region is now introducing dry Furmint wines to the US market. In presenting Hungary’s flagship grape variety, Tim Gaiser, MS demonstrates the versatility of the Furmint grape by showing its range of styles and expressions. With the acidity of a Riesling, the complexity of a Chenin Blanc and the aging potential of a Chardonnay, Furmint is a rising star quickly making its way to the forefront of the US market.
