Nemanja Pejčić

Fine Wine Sales Specialist

Chambers & Chambers Wine Merchants

My name is Nemanja Pejčić, I work as a Fine Wine Sales Specialist in San Diego, California for Chambers and Chambers Wine Merchants—a distributor and importer with over 50 years of experience in the industry. Additionally, I own and operate a Boutique Hotel in Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California Mexico, along side my wife of over 12 years. Our Hotel MILU is named after our children Milan and Luka, it has been a project that reflects my love and passion for wine, and the hospitality industry.

The last 15 years of my life have been dedicated to food, wine, and hospitality. I have an extensive background in the wine industry. All of my experience has lead to me having had leading roles as a Sommelier, Wine Director, to currently working in Sales.

I was Born in Belgrade, Serbia in 1987, and raised in Kucevo, a small town in eastern Serbia. After graduating from Nursing School, I decided to work and travel so I worked onboard a cruise ship, the Queen Mary 2. Soon after I moved to NYC in 2008, and began pursuing my passion of being a wine professional.

In New York had the fortune of working for some of the most influential chefs in the industry. Wyllie Dufresne at WD-50, Geoffrey Zakarian at Lambs Club, Alan Ducasse at Benoit, to name a few. My love and passion for wine flourished in NYC. Being surrounded with all of the talent and exposure to such great wine, opened my eyes to a new world.

I am a certified Sommelier through Court of Master Sommeliers, and Level 3 Advanced Certification in Wine and Spirits, through WSET.

In 2013, my wife and I decided to move our family to California, her native state. We moved to San Diego, where I worked for a local restaurant group Il Palio, as a Sommelier and Wine Director. During my time with Il Palio, I receive the prestigious Best Of Award of Excellence, from Wine Spectator. We received the award for Greystone Steakhouse, which at the time, was one of six restaurants in San Diego, to receive the award. I also had the opportunity to invest in Farmers Table, Little Italy, with Il Palio, and look forward to growing my portfolio of investments in the restaurant industry.
