SommCon®, proudly announces its partnership with Craft Beverage Expo to host Women in Craft Forum during annual symposium and trade show in San Diego, California. Women in Craft Forum takes place during SommCon Conference & Beverage Expo, October 5-7, at Town & Country Resort.
SommCon’s collaboration with Women in Craft Forum brings a powerful new dimension to the conference. A cultivated community of producers, owners, distributors, retailers, and media, Women in Craft Forum brings forward conversations about the challenges and nuances of being a woman in the craft beverage industry, encompassing wine, beer, spirits, sake, cider, mead, and non-alcoholic beverages. The program features educational sessions, mentorship, and networking opportunities, empowering attendees through shared stories, practical advice, and celebrating achievements.
“We are thrilled to partner with SommCon to create this unique experience for women in the craft beverage industry,” remarks Kellie Shevlin, co-founder of Craft Beverage Expo. “SommCon’s dedication to education and inclusivity perfectly aligns with Women in Craft’s mission to empower and support women in this dynamic industry.”
Women in Craft Forum kicks off on Friday, October 4 with a welcome meet up at a local brewery or distillery followed by a full day of workshops on Saturday, October 5. The forum takes place ahead of SommCon’s educational programming, giving attendees the ability to participate in both experiences and maximize their time in market.
Craft beverage producers participating in Women in Craft Forum have the opportunity to showcase their products in the Craft Producers Pavilion at SommCon Beverage Expo. The Beverage Expo connects wineries, breweries, distilleries, and brands in the emerging low and no alcohol category with on- and off-premise buyers, importers, and distributors, allowing producers to facilitate valuable business relationships and propel business growth.
