Crys Chen is a wine professional based in Oakland, California. After a long journey in the restaurant and hospitality industry, they started exploring the retail, importing & distribution side of the wine business. Crys currently works at Floraison Selections, a small, Emeryville-based importer and distributor of French wines, and at Oakland Yard, a neighborhood wine shop. They are a UC Berkeley graduate, hold a certified sommelier certificate from CMS, and are currently pursuing the WSET Diploma. When not tasting and reading about wine, they are usually found (or lost?) in the outdoors — hiking, backpacking, camping, and fishing.
