Scholarship recipients are given an invaluable opportunity to learn from and alongside the industry’s most respected thought leaders during SommCon Conference & Beverage Expo, October 5-7, in San Diego, California. During an immersive three days into the world of wine, beer, and spirits, scholarship recipients expand their knowledge and refine their palates through participation in exclusive tastings, panel discussions, and master classes.
SommCon recognizes the vital role that mentorship plays in shaping successful careers. Scholarship recipients provide detailed information about their career goals and aspirations. Mentors are paired with mentees based on their expertise and experience most relevant to the recipient’s desired trajectory. Mentors are carefully selected from SommCon’s extensive network of industry leaders, ensuring a truly impactful learning experience.Scholarship recipients and their mentors meet in person at SommCon. This initial interaction lays the groundwork for ongoing support throughout the year, empowering recipients to maintain an active relationship with their mentors and leverage their guidance as they navigate their professional journeys. Additionally, SommCon mentors provide ongoing virtual education on a quarterly basis to each class of scholarship recipients. The SommCon Emerging Leaders Scholarship is open to new professionals in the beverage industry who are looking to grow, network, and seek mentorship.The SommCon Professional Merit Scholarship is available to all professionals and is awarded based on financial need, commitment to the industry, and personal development.
Applications for 2024 scholarship program are now open. The application deadline is June 28, 2024.
